Although the lightning activity has gone down with the central part of the bow echo, that just crossed Belgrade where a wind gust of 28 m/s was recorded at the airport, the environment ahead of it seems to support its persistence, or at least only a slow decline of its intensity.

The convective inhibition will ultimately increase and 0-3 km decrease that will complicate lifting the pre-convective air-mass to its LFC, but only a very gradual weakening is expected, and its is expected that the system will continue to produce locally severe winds across a wide swath for at least another 2 - 4 hours with the strongest winds concentrated in the inner area where the apex of the bow will pass.
