... Threat of severe wind gusts over Czechia and southern Poland continues ...

A squall line with an embedded bowing segment is progressing across Czechia and southern Poland. The bowing segment has produced wind gusts up to 35 m/s in Pilsen. While the wind production in the apex of the bow has likely weakened by now, the severe wind gust threat continues. Updrafts have been intensifying in the northern part of the segment across northern Czechia and southern Poland as suggested by the increase in the lightning activity. This part of the squall line needs to be also monitored for the development of bowing segments. The environment ahead of the squall line is characterized by southeasterly surface flow and dewpoints up to 17 deg C, which can easily maintain intensity of the squall line as it continues eastward.
