A linear segment with powerful updrafts, featuring very high lightning activity and 60 dBz echo extending up to 8 km in height has developed across southeastern Germany and will soon move over Czechia. Given 0-3 km bulk shear exceeding 15 m/s and well-mixed boundary layer with surface dewpoints locally exceeding 15 deg C, the storm is expected to maintain intensity. It is possible that the system will bow out at some point, further enhancing the severe wind gust risk.
