In addition to the ongoing storm cluster north of Tsernivtsi, Ukraine, a line of storms has developed to northeast of the Eastern Carpathians. It is likely that these storms will gradually translate northeastward with a gradually increasing risk of severe winds.

Given the very strong low-level shear with 200+ m2/s2 0-1 km storm-relative helicity, supercells may be embedded in the line. More isolated severe storms may also develop across northeast Romania and northern Moldova in the indicated inner area.

Because of the strong low-level shear, a few strong tornadoes may occur, particularly in the indicated inner area. Besides, large hail and very heavy rainfall will be important threats.
