An initially elevated storm system within a warm, unstable air-mass has become surface-based and intensified across Central Croatia. Given the weak CIN ahead of the system, it appears likely that it will persist as it moves further to the East-Northeast across Northeast Croatia, and Southwest and Central Hungary. Given the deep, hot boundary layer ahead of it and the strong 25 m/s deep-layer shear, the system has the potential to produce damaging wind gusts along with large hail.
