SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION
Eastern parts of Europe experience a cold outbreak with snow falling even at sea-level height. Warm Black Sea,strong low-level forcing and steep lapse rates above, accelerate air parcels creating low-topped convection offshore. A ridge is intensifying in western parts of Europe, with several waves to the north. A jet streak is placed over the British Islands where non-convective rain mode will dominate during Tuesday, and another short-wave trough, becoming a cut-off low later, is approaching the west coasts of the Iberian Peninsula.
During the night and early morning of Wednesday, a short-wave trough will provide additional lift to already unstable air masses in Central Mediterranean and we expect scatter DMC.
