SYNOPSIS / DISCUSSION

A high pressure system prevail over the continent, but a long-wave trough in West Europe provides widespread lift of moist air masses. Low level convergence zones are mostly found over the sea and the build-up of moderate CAPE suggest that several short living thunderstorms will sparkle during Tuesday at the areas highlighted on the map. Probably in S France and NE Spain an isolated high-precipitation event may occur in the morning due to the advection of moist air masses from the Mediterranean and steep orography.
