SYNOPSIS / DISCUSSION

The large high pressure system over East Europe is gradually moving SE during Tuesday, while the Azores High is shifted NE, in West Europe. A low pressure system evolves over the North Sea and is expected to produce strong non-convective wind gusts and some showers with lightning activity.
Plenty of rainfall is also forecast for West Balkans, where a short-wave trough makes its way over the area around midnight, but non-severe thunderstorms are expected to affect only the coasts.

For the rest highlighted parts, weak gradient flow and modest moisture are present, so pulsating storms will be the prevailing storm mode. An isolated severe wind gust event is possible, where somewhat more robust CAPE is available (mainly in the 50% thunderstorm areas).
