A number of strong storms including supercells in the west of the MD area will continue to move east.

Given the relatively dry air ahead of them and the strong vertical wind shear, they bear a risk of extremely severe gusts in excess of 32 m/s. In addition, very large hail of 5 cm and larger will be possible.

The relatively high LCL limits the tornado risk. The storms will likely evolve into an eastward-moving bow echo during the coming hours.
