SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION

With long wave trough filled with arctic airmass departing to the east of the forecast area and a ridge in its wake, conditions will be rather hostile for DMC, featuring stable and also dry environment. The only two exceptions where some isolated lightning may occur is NW Scotland, its coastline area and the coastline of S Turkey, where airmass with steep lapse rates, but quite poor moisture (mixing ratios of 3 to 4 g/kg) will be present.
