SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION

Macrosynoptic situation will be dominanted by an unseasonably pronounced ridge stretching from northern Africa through the Central Mediterranean all the way towards Scandinavia. Below the ridge a large high pressure system will cover much of Europe, with its center over Hungary. Stable conditions along with dry airmass will prevent any significant DMC development perhaps apart from the southern Black Sea and south of Turkey, where one or two lightning strikes might occur with low topped showers. Nevertheless, no lightning areas seem necessary.
