SYNOPSIS

A large surface high pressure area centered south of the Baltic Sea dominates large parts of eastern, southeastern, central and western Europe with stable conditions. Relatively cold air prevails, with thre real cold residing eastward from Poland and Romania. Warmer air is found over the Iberian Peninsula and eastern Mediterranean Sea. In the mid levels, the situation is a bit more interesting, with the main blocking ridge from Iberia to the North Sea and a trough causing lift over Italy and the western Balkan. Weak troughing also south of Turkey. Slight CAPE is found in a band from mid-Italy/Adriatic Sea down to Greece and Cyprus. Storms will be very slow moving and short-lived and while an isolated waterspout is not ruled out, will not pose any threats due to a lack of organization.
