SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION

A broad upper trough is placed over Europe with weak upstream ridging affecting Ireland and UK. Numerous disturbances circle that trough and support shower and thunderstorm development over parts of the Mediterranean. Otherwise no thunderstorm probabilities are forecast due to dry air and/or weak forcing.

Isolated waterspouts are possible with convection atop the Tyrrhenian Sea, but also over the Aegean Sea (especially W-Turkey). The risk seems too marginal for a level area.
