SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION

Rather hostile conditions for DMC are observed over the continental Europe in the synoptic configuration dominated by a deep, long-wave trough. Trough is filled with arctic airmass, which is advected from N Scandinavia all the way towards Balkans. The only areas that might potentially experience some isolated to scattered DMC is the northern Black Sea, associated with the strong sfc cyclogenesis in the morning hours, over the Adriatic Sea, with persistent low level convergence and steep lapse rates and over the parts of Bay of Biscay with the short-wave trough passage towards Thursday morning.
