SYNOPSIS

Monday at 06:00... a strong southwesterly mid/upper-level flow affects is located over far northwestern Europe. The flow over the continent itself as well as the western Mediterranean is rather weak. A closed upper low is located over the Czech Republic moves slowly southward reaching Slovenia Tuesday morning. A number of scattered storms are expected to be ongoing in a slightly unstable air-mass over the Tyrrhenean Sea. Gradually a few storms are posisble over the Ionean Sea as well. Some storms are expected, too, over the far western Mediterranean, especially as a weak vorticity maximum moving southward over Spain crosses the Alboran Sea during the second half of the forecast period.
