SYNOPSIS

Monday at 06:00... the large-scale blocking pattern over Europe will persist. A large vertically-stacked area of high-pressure centered over southern Scandinavia should remain almost stationary. A low-pressure area is almost stationary over the southern Tyrrhenean Sea. In the vicinity of the low, steep lapse-rates should allow for scattered deep convection. Forecast equilibrium levels near and above the -20 degrees level suggest that some of the storms will be able to produce lightning.
