SYNOPSIS

Monday at 06:00 UTC... an intense low pressure area is located over the Kattegat, located under the axis of a mid/upper-level longwave trough.
This trough amplifies into the central Mediterranean Region. A diffuse cold front stretches from Poland via the Alps to the Pyrenees and moves SEward reaching the eastern Balkans on Tuesday morning.

DISCUSSION

Italy, Adriatic Sea, western Balkans...

Advection of colder air will likely cause storms to develop during the morning over northern Italy and the northern Adriatic Sea, moving southeastward during the forecast period. The forecast wind shear is moderate to strong and should aid storm organization. As a result a threat of severe convective wind gusts will exist.
