SYNOPSIS

Scenario remains largely unchanged ... with a quasi-stationary upper low over the NW Maghreb States and a weakening upper low over the Aegean which will merge with large-scale E European upper low, and accelerate eastwards, early in the period. Quiescent conditions persist over SW Europe and the Mediterranean regions.

Thunderstorms should initiate in weakly unstable air mass again mainly in response to diurnal heating and mesoscale upward forcing along orographic features and mesoscale airstream boundaries of diverse nature. Shear profiles should generally remain too weak as to support an appreciable severe weather threat, though an isolated marginally severe wind/hail event cannot be discounted.
