Satellite, lightning and radar imagery shows an upscale growth of storms across N Italy. Impressive overshooting tops can be seen, revealing large amounts of latent heat are being released in the storms. While very large hail threat will persist with any supercell that forms ahead of a line, primary risk will eventually become damaging wind gusts with isolated gusts exceeding 33 m/s. Locally, wind-driven hail may occur too, especially in the transition phase from supercells into bow echoes. ICON-RUC shows the strongest storm evolving over the Apennines and progressing towards Veneto and Emilia Romagna regions and then further over the Adriatic coastline towards Croatia perhaps.
