This MD highlights an ongoing life-threatening flash flood situation over parts of NE Spain (Tarragona).

Latest hourly rainfall reports indicate amounts of 70-100 l/qm in a confined band of training convection. Daily amounts now approach 200-300 l/qm with more to come, as latest NWP data suggest 2-4 hours of ongoing back-building remains possible before clustering convection tends to shift E/offshore.
This is a life-threatening situation with localized significant flash flooding possible. Rainfall gradients to the S remain extreme with f.ex. less than 20 l/qm/19h just to the S.
