This Mesoscale Discussion was issued to higlight a more focused severe risk during the afternoon into the evening. Please keep in mind that the validity of this MD does not match the actual time of the evolving severe risk.

Clearing supports strong diabatic heating. Mass response is now underway with onshore flow pushing dewpoints aoa 15C. Broad CAPE profiles in the hail growth zone and strong speed/directional shear in that layer evolve and latest NWP guidance agrees well in initiating one or two storms along the Cordillera Prebetica during the late afternoon, which move NE. Large hail and severe downburst winds will be the main hazard. Near the coast, rapidly strengthening CIN should end the severe risk.
