This Mesoscale Discussion was issued to upgrade parts of S Spain into NW Morocco to a hail-driven level 1. Please keep in mind that the MD's validity does not match the time frame for the severe risk.

Numerous northward moving elevated supercells occur during the night with an augmented hail and isolated very large hail threat. In addition, heavy rain becomes an issue betimes with local flooding possible. SR hodographs show good venting of the rain away from the updrafts, so long-lived supercells are forecast, which ride the frontal boundary N. The severe risk continues beyond 06Z.
