Increase in the convective coverage has been observed with supercells moving from Germany towards Austria. The storms are moving into the environment of large T and Td spreads, suggesting high potential for strong cold pools. This, combined with 0-3 km shear up to 15 m/s suggests high likelihood for upscale growth into a linear convective system with severe wind gusts. This evolution is supported by high-resolution convection allowing models.
