12 UTC soundings from Milano and Cuneo reveal environment capable of intense, well organised convective storms with MLCAPE around 2000 J/kg, 0-6 km bulk shear of 30 and 0-3 km bulk shear of 20 m/s. Any storm in such environment could turn into a fast moving supercell or a bow-echo, capable of large to very large hail and/or damaging wind gusts. Even though Cuneo sounding also features around -70 J/kg of CIN, convective coverage over the region may increase as the synoptic-scale ascent overspreads the region with an approaching short-wave trough. Thus, situation needs to be closely monitored over the region.
