SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION

Quiescent conditions regarding the presence of DMC will continue throughout much of Europe as a ridge stretches from Iberia into France and a deep trough persists over most of E Europe. A short-wave trough is forecast to cross British Isles and approach Norway and BENELUX by the end of the forecast period, but stable conditions will preclude tstm activity. A few low topped thunderstorms may form over the southern coastline of Turkey, Cyprus and the extreme SE Mediterranean, where modest lapse rates will allow for marginal CAPE.
