Scattered convection is quickly expanding in coverage Within an area of surface wind convergence and low pressure, across which the ingredients for flash floods are in place. These include ample instability (1500 - 2500 J/kg CAPE), high precipitatable water content around or above 30 mm, and very slow storm motion. In addition to flash floods, isolated severe winds gusts and large hail with diameters of 2-4 cm are possible, before the storms will likely merge into larger clusters. Very heavy rainfall will likely remain a threat throughout the evening in some areas.
