SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION

An active weather pattern continues over much of Europe in a prevailing northwesterly flow aloft. At the same time, meager lower tropospheric moisture and marginal instability at best will prevent any more significant risk of severe thunderstorms during the forecast period. Isolated to scattered DMC is forecast in association with two main short-wave troughs. The first one will cross British Isles towards W and Central Europe during the forecast period and the second one will cross the Central Mediterranean towards S Balkans. Strong to marginally severe wind gusts are anticipated over parts of W Europe, but should be mostly non-convective in nature.
