SYNOPSIS

Mid/upper low pressure systems are found over the southern North Sea and Scandinavia, as well as the eastern Black Sea, while a mid level trough approaches over the Atlantic. The cut-off low passes over Netherlands and Germany, with mid level vorticity advection generating strong lift. Vertical profiles should be close to neutral but may allow isolated deep convection to -15 deg C, with isolated thunder chance. Thunderstorms can also occur at night at the cold front coming from the ocean to Portugal in the early Tuesday morning hours.
