SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION

Looking at the satellite image loops, one can spot two major lows/troughs - one crossing the Black Sea and another one over the Atlantic, approaching the Norwegian coastline. In between, a large ridge stretches from the Mediterranean towards Central Europe and the Northern Sea. Most of Europe will be under stable/dry conditions too hostile for any DMC. Two minor exceptions will be the Norwegian and the Black Sea, where low-topped DMC is forecast in CAA regime behind the cold front. As low-level mixing ratios will be around 3g/kg, only very weakly electrified convection is forecast. No severe weather is forecast but strong wind gusts and small hail may occur with any of the cells.
