Across SE Romania and NE Bulgaria, a very volatile environment has developed of very strong (~30 m/s) deep-layer shear and 1000-2000 J/kg of CAPE.

An ongoing supercell storm near Bucharest is entering an environment where - per NWP guidance -
about 400 m2/s2 storm-relative helicity should be present. In addition, (0-1) low-level shear should be close to 15 m/s. Additional storms over far eastern Romania are developing in an environment with comparable shear.

All this points to a dangerous situation with a high threat of strong tornadoes across the indicated area in the coming hours. Additionally, very large hail and strong straight-line winds are possible.
