SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION
A temporarily more zonal aligned flow regime affects W Europe with rising height fields over SW-Europe. Further east, modest split flow regime with weak height gradients continues during the forecast.
At the surface, a broad high pressure area keeps the weather stable for most of the forecast excluding a rapidly strengthening depression over the Bay of Biscay during the overnight hours, which remains offshore until 06Z.
Convective-wise, isolated thunderstorms are forecast over the Adriatic and Ionian Sea with a decrease in activity after midnight. The reason for that is a passing short-wave with a slight cool-down at mid-levels. Nothing severe is anticipated.
Isolated CI can occur west of Norway with better LL convergence and cold EL temperatures present.
