SYNOPSIS / DISCUSSION

An upper cut-off low over France translates to the southwest. Some low-end instability is present underneath its cold core and scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected. Ahead of this low, some instability is also created over N Italy where shear is somewhat stronger. Isolated thunder is possible but organized severe weather is very unlikely despite 20-25 m/s of deep layer shear are present.
