SYNOPSIS / DISCUSSION

An intensifying extensive omega blocking spreading towards central Europe from the west, while deep trough affecting SE Balkans and Turkey. Early in the forecast period, an associated surface low rapidly moves off our forecast area along the southern Turkish coast. Showers and some thunderstorms will still form in the wake of the low, as pretty cold mid-levels overspread the area again.

Marginal daytime driven convection seem possible over southern Iberia given the slightly improved LL moisture and still cool mid-levels, weak CAPE should become available. Have highlighted the areas with higher probabilities for some lightning storms to occur.
