SYNOPSIS / DISCUSSION

In the vicinity of an upper trough over the east Atlantic, a few hundred J/kg CAPE should be available which is enough for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Due to the absence of reasonable deep layer shear (only 10 - 15 m/s are forecast), severe weather is not expected.

Another upper trough is centered over Ukraine. South of this trough, some instability remains over the eastern Mediterranean and leads to showers and thunderstorms. One can't exclude an isolated waterspout but severe weather is unlikely.
