SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION

In the wake of the Scandinavian trough, an upper cut-off low gradually evolves over central Europe. At the same time, ridging strengthens from the west ahead of another, strong upper trough over the far NE-Atlantic. A dry/stable and cold air mass continues to spread southwards over the central Mediterranean. Any thunderstorm activity will be confined to the frontal boundary over the W/CNTRL Mediterranean. Shear remains weak with modest CAPE, so the main risk will be pulsating storms with locally heavy rainfall due to pretty slow storm motions.

Otherwise no organized TSTM risk is expected.
