SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION

High pressure persists over Europe.

The upper low over the far SW-Mediterranean weakens during the forecast period but still assists in scattered thunderstorm development during the day. Another, sharp upper trough enters the Ionian Sea, where thunderstorm activity increases during the day. We would not be surprised, if an isolated waterspout occurs in those areas and N-Algeria may see an isolated large hail event due to locally augmented CAPE, but otherwise no severe risk is forecast.
A sporadic thunderstorm may evolve over W-Bulgaria and Romania, but coverage will be too marginal for any thunderstorm area.

The rest of the forecast area remains tranquil.
