SYNOPSIS / DISCUSSION

A broad upper ridge over western Europe leads to warm and stable conditions in most parts of western and central Europe. There are two upper level disturbances in the vicinity of the high pressure system: one near the Canary Islands and the other one over the S Adriatic. Marginal instability may be created over the E Mediterranean and the N Maghreb States. Regions with overlapping 10 - 15 m/s deep layer shear and some hundred J/kg CAPE are rather small and a threat level is not warranted.
