SYNOPSIS

With a large low pressure area over Russia and high pressure over Scotland a cold arctic airmass especially in mid levels is transported southward over Scandinavia and central/eastern Europe. Low pressure areas are stationary over the Atlantic west of Portugal and Ionean and Aegean Sea, with some conditional instability allowing showers and thunderstorms.
