SYNOPSIS / DISCUSSION

Not much convective activity is expected on Sunday. A few showers and thunderstorms may occur along the axis of an upper trough over N Ireland and Scotland and also over the E Atlantic. In most places with low CIN, deep layer shear is quite weak and organized severe convection is unlikely. A few strong wind gusts cannot be ruled out but a threat level is not warranted.

Another region with marginal convective activity is found over the E Mediterranean / Aegean Sea in the wake of an upper trough. 300 - 500 J/kg CAPE and weak upper level winds are forecast which reduce the chance of a severe event.
