SYNOPSIS/DISCUSSION

A weak upper low crosses Scotland from the west and enters the North Sea during the afternoon hours. A cold, surface high is present over NE-Europe, yesterday's upper trough is still placed over SE Europe and warm/stable conditions prevail over Portugal and Spain. The atmosphere is just marginal unstable over W-Turkey, where showers/isolated thunderstorms are possible but we doubt that updraft strength/vertical extent will be strong enough to take profit of stronger DLS (~ 20m/s). Marginal hail/gusty winds are the main threat.

For the rest of Europe no thunderstorms are expected.
