SYNOPSIS /DISCUSSION

Upper air pattern features a far southward sprawling longwave trough over central/east-Europe and weak ridging just to its west with warm/stable conditions over SW-Europe. A strong wave enters the picture from the west around midnight and affects Ireland, UK and Scotland thereafter. Peak wind gusts could locally reach/exceed severe criterion over Ireland, but convection remains too weak to issue any probabilities.
Otherwise there are a few areas with some low-end thunderstorm chances but the atmosphere will be too hostile for anything severe: NE-Morocco, NW coast of Norway and the W/NW-coast of Turkey. Very slim instability release is possible in a stripe running from the Czech Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina but nothing more than a very isolated thunderstorm event is forecast. However, this stripe will be monitored, e.g. for better insolation and/or surface moisture.
