SYNOPSIS / DISCUSSION

Downstream of robust ridging over the far eastern Atlantic, CAA continues to affect most parts of Europe with very cold mid-levels and a dry/cold surface airmass. Sporadic lightning could occur just below coldest mid-level air over NE Poland and extreme western Belarus but also over the Aegean Sea, the extreme SW Black Sea, N-Morocco and extreme NW Algeria. Ingredient based forecasting method indicates just very short-lived/weak activity and no severe weather threat is anticipated.
