SYNOPSIS/DISCUSSION

Although an intense Atlantic jet stream is finally making its way towards western Europe, this period is anticipated to remain calm in terms of deep convection.
Quite sporadic lightning could occur west of the British Isles in deep polar air early Sunday morning, but lightning activity should be too weak for a thunderstorm area. Along the preceding cold front, stretching across the British Isles on Sunday 00Z, a narrow/shallow line of convection or line segments could occur. At the moment, however, the numerical support for this scenario is rather limited, and highlighting this area does not seem to be necessary at the moment.
