SYNOPSIS

A blocking high pressure area is located between Iceland and Turkey, keeping active weather at bay. An upper low is stationary over France and is associated with sufficient instability for showers. The stronger convection occurs southeast of Sicily (displaced southwest of a band of strong SREH), and late in the period over the Atlantic ocean near Portugal.
