CAPE in the warm-sector air mass ahead of the trough approaching the British Isles has turned out to be stronger/deeper than previously anticipated, which may be associated with the mid/upper level dry intrusion. Given strong shear profiles, cells may develop into short lines along and ahead of the cold front. Expect primary severe threat to be severe wind gusts and isolated marginally severe hail. Strong LLS suggests that isolated tornadoes may occur as well.
