No major changes compared to the past 24 hours as split flow regime continues over Europe. A strong high pressure area covers most parts of Europe suppressing convection

A strong cold front pushes southward over western Russia. At lower levels, cold air anticipates upper-level cool-down resulting in a 2-3km layer with steeper lapse rates below a inversion of 700hPa over Finland, which descends to 800hPa over western Russia.
Intense forcing should support a forced, sharp cold front with embedded convection. The main risk will be strong gusts and marginal hail.No thunderstorm area was issued as lightning activity should be limited.

Thunderstorms also develop south of Turkey and SW of Portugal but wind field in both cases is too weak for an organized thunderstorm risk.
