SYNOPSIS

Monday at 06:00 UTC...the strong surface anticyclone over Russian Karelia is expected to have strengthened a little further. A mid-/upper level trough stretches from northern Germany to the northern Adriatic and moves eastward while decaying. An occluded frontal disturbace over the British Isles moves eastward into western continental Europe as it decays as well. A rapidly deepening surface low is expected to approach Ireland on Tuesday morning.

A weak mid-level cyclone or trough filled with low mid-level temperatures (< 20 C at 500 hPa) is present over the Balkans and moves towards northern Turkey.
In its neighbourhood sufficient instablity for a couple of thunderstorms to form over heated land surfaces will be present.
